Rational Team Concert incompatible license

Hi,

I'm trying to use the RTC included in RAM installation to customize a lifecycle workflow, but I'm facing an error related to RTC license when saving the project configuration:

The JTS License Management says the RTC developer license is deactivated because it's incompatible with the server. I don't understand it because I'm using the RTC included in RAM installation.

Please, could you give me some advice to solve this problem?

Thank you,
Paulo

Interesting.., does the RAM server works (can you create a new asset for example)? It uses the same lic.

Are you using RTC 3.x to connect to the RTC. Our install ships with a RTC 2.x server.

I am wondering if that is supposed to work.

Hi Gili, I am working with Paulo and I can answer this question. Yes, the RAM server is working. We can create a new asset, search for assets, etc..
The only problem we noticed so far is the creation of a customized lifecycle due to this license problem (the "developer" license is deactivated).

Hi Rajasimhan, we are using the RTC 2.0.0.2 (the version that installs with our IBM RAM setup)

Paulo,
With looking at your screenshot of the RTC server License Key Management
page, something is wrong. The "Product" field should say "Rational Jazz
Team Server for RAM" if it's the RTC server shipped with RAM. Your
server says "Rational Jazz Team Server". Also the "Maximum Users" should
be 1... your server is a dash... not sure if they makes any difference
or not but doesn't match up with the RTC servers we have installed in
our RAM test environment.
Could you check to be sure the server URL set on the RAM
Administration-->Configuration page is the same as the URL you are
trying to use to in your RTC client for updating workflows.
The same license is used to create/update assets so it doesn't make
sense you can do standard asset capability and yet not update the
workflows in RTC.

Walker, I'll check if I'm really using the RTC shipped with RAM. Since I didn't make the installation this may be the problem.

Thank you,
Paulo
