Template created from an existing RTC Task
I created a new work item(Task) template from an existing work item(Task). This template is to be used by multiple users.
I have removed my name from the subscribers list in the links tab of the work item that I had used to create the template. I still get an email when anyone creates a task from the template. How do I block that?
Thanks,
Sujata

It sounds like you removed your name from the subscribers list after you
created the template ... if so, that would have no effect on the
template. You will have to create a new template, based on the work
item that has you not as a subscriber.

I tried what you suggested. I removed the template and added another template based on a work item that I was not a subscriber and I still get emails when someone creates a work item from the template.

Do you get the email only when they create the work item from the
template, or do you get email when they save changes to the work item as
well? When you look at the work item, do you appear in any of the
fields (e.g. Owner)?

I got an email in both cases.
Looks like I've fixed this by setting the "owned by" to unassigned and in the task that I had used to create the template I went to links -> subscribers -> added my name back -> clicked on it and went to the mail configuration tab and deselected some of the email options. Then I removed myself as subscriber, removed the template and added new template.
Will see if I don't get emails when other people create tasks from this template.
Thanks,
Sujata

Yes, the owner gets email when a work item is saved. So the problem
was that you created a template from a work item that had you as the
owner which meant every work item created from that template would be
owned by you (which I doubt I doubt is what you wanted anyway ... the
email was just a symptom of that problem).
