Getting error when adding news feed viewlet...
The following is the error I got when saving a news feed viewlet, after pasting in an url address, under shared dashboards/my profle in jazz.net. Any idea why? Thanks.
There was a problem loading the feed: The feed URL is malformed (no protocol: www.google.ca) |

Hi,
make sure to prefix the feed-url with the protocol (most commonly "http://"). It seems, the feed viewlet is not working if you just type in the URL of the feed without specifying the protocol. Regards, Ben Work Item & Foundation |

I pasted in the following exact url from the google site, http://www.google.ca/ then click on save, and I am getting a different error this time as the following: News Feed There was a problem loading the feed: The feed XML markup is malformed (The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.) |
The URL you use is not a valid news-feed but a normal website. What kind of newsfeed do you want to add from Google? An example for a valid newsfeed is the Jazz feed: https://jazz.net/pub/community/news/feed.rss?externalize=true
