Does Insight support role based security?

Hi, does anyone know if Rational Insight supports role based security. So that a certain role only have access to certain reports, or certain data/or segments in a report?

Hello.
Insight/Cognos allows you to define roles and access rights based on
these for reports, jobs etc. i.e. for elements that it maintains in
Cognos Connections.

To control access to the data Insight 1.0.1.1 added a security model
that uses the PROJECT_RESOURCE_LOOKUP table of the warehouse for access
control. The checks are implemented in the reporting data model and are
switched off by default for Insight. You can use the FM Editor to switch
them on in the Parameter Maps.

If you write your ETLs to populate this table then you can use them. CLM
3.0.1 makes full use of it and the reporting data model that ships with
it has these checks enabled by default.

Also see this paper explaining how you extend the ClearQuest ETL to
enable these security checks: https://jazz.net/library/article/687

Best regards,
Peter.
