Three ways to do more with Rational Build Forge capabilities

You can use the included command line Java and Perl APIs to handle software builds through IBM Rational Build Forge, rather than the management console. You can also integrate Build Forge with Jazz-based testing and change-and-release management tools. This article explains how, complete with sample code.

Sorry, has anyone done a multi-year (7 years) cost-benefit analysis of heavily customising Build Forge by using the API versus creating a home-brew build solution around cron and ant?
