New Graphical Traceability tool for RRC

Theresa Kratschmer (2134) | asked Jul 09 '11, 11:12 a.m.
I've installed the folder linksexp_licenses into this directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\JazzTeamServer

I have the clm banking sample project installed. However, when I go to one of the features that has links to test cases, tasks, etc... I don't see the new icon in my links shelf on the sidebar.

Any idea what's going on?

Hi There,

Thanks for trying it out.

Did you unpack the entire zip file or just the linksexp_licences folder ? The zip file has two folders inside it , you need to make sure both are installed.

e.g. after unpacking the zip you should see this folder

C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\JazzTeamServer\server\conf\rm\sites\com.ibm.rdm.web.linksexplorer.updatesite

Make sure you stop the server while you do the install.

Thanks,
Steve.

Hi,

I have RRC 3.0 RC2 installed and have the file unzipped to the server installed directory. I have also validated that the above files are extracted. When I restart the server and look at the link section of an artifact, I could find the link explorer icon. Any idea?

Thanks.

Yes - I see this file. I did stop the server when I extracted. Then restarted. Still not seeing the icon though.

C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\JazzTeamServer\server\conf\rm\sites

and then file is com.ibm.rdm.web.linksexplorer.updatesite

I've installed the folder linksexp_licenses into this directory:

Hi,

Ok - sounds like the extract has worked correctly.

The Links Explorer add on requires Rational Requirements Composer 3.0.1 - is this the version you have installed ?

thanks,
Steve.

As Steve mentioned - you need 3.0.1 GA. I installed this today and it is working well so far. Very useful addition to RRC.

Thanks.
