License issues for Build forge on Linux for SystemZ
I have installed Build Forge on Suse Linux on Systemz and have the license server pointed to /opt/buildforge/IRBF_License:FILE which is default.
I have generated the licence and copied to IRBF_License file.
However I get the following error .
License Error: Build Forge license key is corrupt or missing.
I understand that a Licenserver will not run on the SystemZ unlike Windows.
I need help in configuring Rationla License server for Build Forge.

Lalitha

Hi Lalitha, before getting support involved, I would check a few things. First,
is your file (/opt/buildforge/IRBF_License) readable by the user that Build Forge (tomcat, specifically) runs as? Second, inside the license file there is a property called 'license/generated' with an integer as its value. That value is the seconds since epoch at which your license expires. Convert this integer to a readable time/date using various tools or websites and verify that your license hasn't expired. Third, I'm curious as to the provenance of your license file itself?
Cheers,

Hi Steve,
The build forge user runs as root, therfore the license file is readable by root.
Secondly, zlinux supports only Enterprise Plus edition and therfore does not require License server. When I tried to generate the license key in Rational license key centre, there is no option to generate license for Enterprise plus edition.
Hence I generated license for Enterprise edition server with host id as ethernet address.
This files I copied to IRBF_license in /opt/buildforge directory.
Now , I am not sure whether enterprise edition license file works with enterprise plus edition, if not how do I generate the license key for the same.
