change absensed for users in project

Yaron Norani (47267065) | asked Jan 30 '11, 5:33 a.m.
Hello,

I have a scrum master that needs the ability to change absenses for all project team members.

What is the right way doing it?
I do not want to add him as JazzAdmin. any other option?

I believe you do have to be JazzAdmin to modify the vacations for users
other than yourself. The issue with allowing the scrum master to change
the vacation absences of any project team member is that a vacation
absence is a global property of a user ... not specific to a particular
team area. So allowing the scrum master for a team area to change
vacation days would mean that joining a project just as a stakeholder
would open you up to having your vacation absences modified by the scrum
master for that project.

Cheers,
Geoff

Hello Geoff,

Thanks for the reply.
The scenario is that:
The team has a pre-plan scrum meeting.
Each relevant user is allocated to this project.
The scrum master would like to know and update RTC for each user - how many days he is available for that sprint.

I see two alternative options.Changes can be reflected by changing:
1. User absances, in order to make it fit to the ammount of available days.
2. changing the user's Work Assignments to fit to the ammount of available days.

They would like that the scrum master will have the rights to perform it.
They has no problem that the scrum master will be able to change stakeholder's details.

Maybe there is an option for a role that will have those permissions? another group for that purpose?

Thanks again,

Yaron
