Refreshing the asset's lifecycle related

Rogério Ramos da Silva (33512827) | asked Jan 18 '11, 9:34 a.m.
When I create a new asset, it's related with a lifecycle that match with the conditions configurated.

If I change any validation or behavior on this lifecycle, this changes aren't automatically shared with the existents assets.

What is the way to do those changes to be reflected on both older and current assets?

Hi,

This is currently a manual process. We know this is painful.

The main community lifecycle is more of a template than a lifecycle.
When the asset is submitted the appropriate lifecycle is copied into an
individual copy for the asset. From that point on the main lifecycle is
not consulted.

We have a major enhancement plan item for the next release to fix this
and turn asset lifecycles into deltas of the main lifecycle and thus
allow changes of the main lifecycle to be automatically propagated down.
