Connect IBM Jazz Client to Sametime 8.0 in Lotus Notes 8.0.1

Hi,

I was able to get Notes 8.0.1 to work with Jazz, but I didn't follow the step in the documentation for installing the missing Sametime 8 components into Notes. First make sure you have Sametime 8 installed. Then, from within Notes go to File -> Application -> Install. Pick Search for new Features to Install. In addition to adding the Jazz/Sametime folder, I added two more folder locations: C:/Program Files/IBM/Lotus/Sametime Connect/rcp/eclipse/ and C:/Program Files/IBM/Lotus/Sametime Connect/shared/eclipse/ . When you are presented with what features to install make sure you pick the micro and broker features, and I think you should be fine. I don't remember if I had to edit the plugin_customization.ini as indicated in the jazz documentation.

thanks for your help. I tried your solution but I'm struggeling with the installation of the com.ibm.micro plugin. It's in the folder C:/Program Files/IBM/Lotus/Sametime Connect/rcp/eclipse/ but if I define a local update site pointing to this folder I can't see it as a plugin that can be installed. Any idea what the problem could be?

Error message: Sametime Broker Bridge Feature (8.0.0.20071119-1552) requires plug-in "com.ibm.micro".

Hi,

The steps in the online help have been improved with RC5. You should now
be able to get Notes to work with Jazz.
