Saving reports
Is there any way to save a report in its current state? I have tried to save a report through the Jazz Web UI, but this gets updated as the data in the warehouse changes. I, on the other hand, would like to be able to view the report displaying exactly the same information as it did when I chose to save, is this possible?
Thanks, Dawn |

Is there any way to save a report in its current state? I have tried Hi Dawn, At the moment, this isn't really possible. One of our high-priority post-1.0 items will be to allow you to take a "snapshot" of a report, to save it for later. This would have two benefits: first, you can re-create reports which you can't right now, and second, the performance benefits of not actually having to compute the report again. As a workaround, starting in M6, it is possible to export reports to a variety of formats, including PDF. You can then reference this PDF file later - it's not really a solution for the problem but it might get you what you want in the short term. Hope this helps. james Jazz Reports Team Lead |
Thanks, that would help! Where can I get information on how to export a report to a PDF file please?

Hello,
I did not find any documentation but it is quiet easy. There is an icon for exporting reports. Run a report, click on the first icon near the Button "Save As..." Select the format and you will get the report with name Report.<extension depending what format is selected> I tried it with the Web UI and it worked fine. Hope this helps. Elisabeth |

Hello, Check out the New and Noteworthy for reports in M6 - it describes this functionality, but Elisabeth captured it pretty well. james |
Yes right. It is in the New and Noteworthy for M6. I thought I was looking there but I actually I was looking in M5 as the download page was linked to M5 this afternoon.
Dawn, to be sure you get the right version you can use the following link: https://jazz.net/downloads/DownloadDocument.jsp?href=milestones/data/0.6M6/jazz-news-0.6M6.html Thanks James for the update. Elisabeth |
