[closed] how to use adoption item correctly?

We have several teams in RTC 2, and A component I'm responsible for is shared by many teams. So when this component has changes, then I need notify other teams to update.
So I create an adoption item and set affected teams. I suppose they will be notified in some way, but nothing happens. I have to create work items for other teams one by one to notify them to update. It seems that adoption item has no use? I don't know weather i use adoption item correctly? Hope some can help. Thanks. |

There is no automatic adoption notification and it's possible that in RTC 2 you could not query on Affected Teams. But since at least 3.0.1.x you can. Please see this question for details: https://jazz.net/forum/questions/41549/adoption-item-and-affected-teams
