Jazz Web UI status summary page discrepancy for diff users
Hi,
I have installed RedHat EL 4, WAS 6.1 with Fixpack to support Jazz Server, DB2 V9.1 and Jazz Server. I created about 4 users in Linus op. sys. with same user group. I enabled WAS administrative security and added all these 4 users in "Administrative User Roles" in WAS Security. Then I provided same previlleges (JazzAdmins, JazzDWAdmins, JazzUsers, and JazzGuests) in Jazz_war web app to all of these 4 users. When I tried to connect to Jazz WebUI page using these users and their passwords, on the top right corner of the Jazz Status summary page, I see "logged in as GUEST" for one of the userid, "admin" along with the link to "login". But for all other 3 users, I see the user specific logged in info along with the link to "logout". Everything else looks exactly same except this difference. Why does the "admin" user behaves differently than other 3 users when they are configured same way. Thanks, Shailesh |

Jazz has an "ADMIN" user by default, and this is case sensitive.
The workaround would be to remove the websphere user "admin" and add a user "ADMIN". -- Ritchie ********************************************** Ritchie Schacher Jazz Repository/Server Team "sbgandhi" <sbgandhi@us.ibm-dot-com.no-spam.invalid> wrote in message news:frs0gr$1a7$2@localhost.localdomain... Hi,
Since I am using operating system based security, when I tried to add "ADMIN" as user in RedHat Enterprise Linux 4, it is complaining about adding username as upercase and then does not add it. Here is the message: "The user name ADMIN contains uppercase characters. Please do not use uppercase characters in the user name." This is the reason we added user as "admin" instead of "ADMIN". Any suggestions? Thanks, Shailesh |
