Configuration of Web URLs?

Frank Gerhardt (9144) | asked Mar 10 '08, 11:24 a.m.
My Jazz server is using a regular DSL connection where the IP address
changes every 24 hours and the DSL router forwards the required ports to
the local network. From outside, the server is accessabile by a DynDNS
domain name.

When I copy a Web URL of a work item, e.g.
https://jazz.example.com:9443/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/118
the URL contains the correct host name but I'm redirected to another URL
containing some host name assigned to my DSL router by the DSL company:
https://82-131-156-131.pool.exampletelecom.de:9443/jazz/web/projects/exampleproject#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=118

Now I look at the server properties to find out which one could help me
in configuring the real outside name jazz.example.com of my server.

- Public URI Root
- Web Home URI
- Host Name together with Use Canonical Host Name

There are a few. Which one is the right on to solve my problem?

Hi Frank. I've experienced the same problem; setting the Host Name property
to the domain name, and the Use Canonical Host Name property to false,
seems to be working.
