Error when uploading in RTC SCM Webclient
Hi
I am getting the error message "ifd.getElementsByTagName("textarea") is undefined" appearing in a pop up window when I try an upload a new version of a document into a Stream using the RTC web client. Does anyone know what could be causing this error ? I am using RTC 2.0.0.2 iFix 1 running on AIX. The browser is Firefox 3.0.19 on Linux. Thanks Rob |

Hi This looks like a Browser version issue. RTC 2.0.0.1 or greater (you are on 2.0.0.2) needs FireFox 3.5. Are you able to try FF3.5? regards anthony ps. Supported browsers here: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3488&uid=swg27015704#Browsers |
Hi Anthony,
Thanks for the tip. Being a DoJo error I was wondering if it could be a browser compatibility issue as Dojo is a more recent technology. I am using the older version of FF as the machine I am working on has an Internal IBM standard Linux Client build on it (Internally known as "OpenClient"). Like many corporate desktop standard builds the versions of S/W on it are a little behind the latest versions available. So having a dependency on Browser functionality requiring very recent browsers can cause issues for people working in locked down corporate environments. Fortunately I do have access to other test environments with more recent browsers, so I will give it a try in one of those environments. Cheers Rob Hi This looks like a Browser version issue. Hello,
I am also getting the same error but only for few files. With remaining files I am able to do all types of operation. Moreover all files are C files no change in extension of files also. I am using RTC 3.0 and FF 3.5.3. Can anybody help what can be the real cause? Regards, Ashish Hi This looks like a Browser version issue.
