Deletion of work Items in RTC

Can any one tell me how can i delete work items which are created? To delete a work item what roles should i have?

You can delete work items since RTC 3.x as far as I can recall. You can do it from the work item (red x in the top right menu). Or you can do it from a query by selecting bulk operation, then selecting the work items to be deleted and finally using the red x in the bulk work item operation section.

You require the permission to do that in the team configuration.

 @rschoon Does this technique deletes the work item's related files from the DB?

I think orphaned attachments get deleted too, if that is what you are asking.

based on what I can tell, you are not allowed to delete users or workitems. users cause they might be referenced in some item.

maybe workitems too for the same reason..

all you can do is archive

You can move undesired work items into another project area (a garbage).

Or mark them as Resolved > Invalid.

Is there now a better way to delete work items?  (the last post on this board is Oct 2010)

Comments

yes. JazzAdmin users can delete workitems. (assuming the default permissions)
and u can delete in bulk.  we did this a lot on our migration from system A to B testing
