How to add a new link type when using tomcat

Hi,

I managed to setup an env and ran the advisor example.

I need to add a new link type to RTC. The instructions refer to using jetty. Can you please describe the steps when using tomcat:
-should i just follow similar steps as in the advisor/tomcat video?
-do i need to build a repository db (mentioned in the jetty option)?
