need help to patch the jdbc driver for Oracle 10g

Hi!
I run a RTC2.0.0.2iFix2 on Oracle 10g R2.
When I imported data into Oracle I was struck by the error described in:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3488&uid=swg21390696

As indicated, I need to either
Using a version of the Oracle JDBC Driver that includes the fix for Oracle bug #8588311:
There is a patch from Oracle for JDBC driver v11.2.0.1.0. The patch # is 9261882

or
Modifying the Oracle JDBC Driver itself as suggested in jazz.net work item 83253.

The first option won't work for me, because:
1. Our Oracle V10 is an enterprise deployment. It is not feasible to upgrade it to v11 just for RTC.
2. What's more, I can not find any information of Oracle's patch # 9261882 by searching Internet.

I have to consider the second option, but the instructions described in
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21390696&aid=2
are too technical for me, especially the last sentence
Also make sure to increase the number of locals as we are now using 8

Anyone's help or advice would be great appreciated.
