updating to future versions
Hello,
I heard about jazz a long time ago and today I ask myself, if I should set up my next project with this amazing plattform. Does anyone already use jazz for productive development? And I am wondering, if an update to upcoming versions can be made without having trouble or loss of data. Is there any mechanism for installing updates?
Best regards
MB

Hello MB,
This is my 2 cents
Our team has been using Jazz server and Rational Team Concert since Sept 07
We did all the migration and , at the beggining, we had some issues.
Not it is pretty much solid :)
1) export your data using repotools
2) upgrade the Jazz.war (we need to clean some stuff in IBM WebSphere
application server)
3) we use the IBM Install Manager to upgrade the client
I think we are still looking at the migration story on the server (to
improve the speed and efficiency) and at the story on the client (could the
client update itself from the server when a new release is out ?)
Again, this is my own personal experience :) I will let other people
comment as well :)

I believe that when Christophe wrote "Not it is pretty much solid", he
meant "Now it is pretty much solid".
