IBM Global Configuration: Clarification on Support for Importing Custom Attribute Values across different Streams and Baselines

GCM currently lacks an efficient mechanism to manage custom attribute values across multiple streams and baselines, as these values must be created and maintained manually in each configuration. In environments with numerous streams and frequent baseline creation, this results in significant administrative effort and increased maintenance complexity.

As projects evolve, the need to replicate or align custom attribute values across configurations becomes more frequent. The absence of an import capability increases the risk of inconsistencies between streams and baselines, leading to data discrepancies, duplicated effort, and governance challenges. This manual process is time-consuming, error-prone, and makes it difficult to ensure standardized attribute values across configuration-managed projects.

Is it possible to import custom attribute values between streams and baselines within IBM Global Configuration Management (GCM) and it would improve consistency, reduce administrative overhead, enhance data quality, and support more efficient configuration management practices.
