Doors next user access to modules on the same project

On DOORs Next Engineering Requirements 7.0.3
How can I restrict users on the same project from having a no read or view access of a certain module whilst having access to another one on the same folder and keeping all users on the same project?

Can my users who have access to only 1 module still make links to the other restricted module?

Hi there,

In DOORS Next and ETM, the unit of visibility is the Project Area. If you aren't a member of a Project Area or a JazzAdmin, then you don't even know it exists - but once you are added as a member, even one with no permissions, you can see everything.

EWM is a bit different and you can restrict visibility of work items, but the other two are more complicated because you can reuse elements extensively within the project area.

In DOORS Next, a project area member will always be able to see everything in that project area, but:
 - you can restrict write access by using different artefact types and Roles, so that only people with that Role can create or modify that artefact type
 - you can restrict write access by folder and team areas, so that only people that below to the team area that owns the folder can create or modify the artefact

In either case, you can still allow users to link to the artefacts by setting permissions on the Role

This is a classic permissions puzzle in DOORs. To achieve this, you'll need to leverage module-level access controls. Create distinct user groups for each access level. For the restricted module, ensure the "no read/view" group has those specific permissions revoked.
