Work item query question
In our organization we have a group of users (Contributors), they should see and be able to run only small group of predefined query's (created by me, owned by me, etc.). They shouldn't be able to create and run any newly created query's.
I create predefined query's, associate Contributor team with it, create Contributor role to manage rights for save and deploy query's, and that works fine, but i see that they have on web ui button "create query", they can create and run it (cant save it). Is it possible to hide button "create query" on web UI, or disable "run" button, or somehow manage access so that they cant see result. Basically, i don't wont them to see any WI created by developer Team members. Thanks, Ivan |

There is currently no permission for the 'create query' or 'run query' actions. And there is no possibility to remove the button from the Web/UI as far as I know. Please feel free to open an enhancement request for that, filed against the Work Items category. Regards Marcel Jazz Work Item team |

This request doesn't exactly fallow agile principle of transparency but in transition faze from non-agile to agile development its absolutely necessary, because of the fact that its better to have all people connected with one project in that project area (no need to create new project just to menage individual premonitions) even if they don't need to see everything.
Now we are doing RTC repository projects area organization, and to have such premonitions make difference between creating one master project or creating a lots of small projects for different groups of users. It would make really big difference for us to have this ability soon. |
