Using Rational Publishing Engine Document Studio 2.1.2 and DOORS 9.7

Is there a way in the Document Studio to alternate between different printing formats based on whether an attribute contains a value?

I'm trying to do the following:

container
paragraph
if(attribute == false)
     print ObjText
else
    table

So if the attribute is empty, print ObjText normally, otherwise print the data as a table. It does not seem to work and I am wondering if it is dependent on the view (i.e. does the attribute column need to be present in the view for it to print correctly)
