Not able to edit a text field from the plan view

I am unable to edit my text fields from the plan view.

However, I am able to edit Summary, due date and some other custom enumeration fields. Is this expected or can I fix it?

Looking for the same feature. I think it is not implemented.


The Enhancement request from there is outdated (2013) and does not specifically ask for text attribute updates in plan view.

As Alexander comments, the plan views do not support all attribute types for editing.
