One Use case from external supplier Work item  to RTC. For example if we create any Work item in external RTC environment so can we copy or link the same work item with all the attributes to internal  RTC.

Please suggest how we can handle this external and internal environments.

Hi Ralph,

Thanks for reply.
Description :- There are two different environments for example
1.https://intra.com
2.https://extra.com
There are some sets of work items in https://extra.com that I am not able access in https://intra.com.
If we create any Work item in https://extra.com environment so can we copy or link the same work item with all the attributes to https://intra.com environment in CCM RTC.

I don't think linking will help if you are unable to access the https://intra.com environment. It will link to that environment and then you won't be able to access the work item. It sounds like you should copy the work items, but you also want to keep those two copies in sync. I'm not sure if this is possible, but Tasktop Sync product will sync the work items between two different environments every time there is an update on one side or the other. Or perhaps you just need to view the work item status in https://intra.com and not update anything?

As a simple solution you can try to export and import the work items as CSV. If the process is not the same, some of the fields will not import correctly. But remember that the new copies of the work items are not linked.
