Name change for Project Area doesn't "stick"

Hi,
I'd like to change the name of a project area that's been created (the default "Quality Manager" project area). If I go to the Project Area Administration page, I can edit the page name and save it. All seems well so far. Then I point my browser at https://hostname:9443/jazz/web/console and am prompted to select a project area. The new name that I just saved is shown in the drop-down list of available project areas, so I select it and click OK. I then get presented with another project area selection dialog, but this time, the name of the project area has reverted back to the original name ("Quality Manager").

Am I not allowed to change the default Quality Manager project name? Any different steps that I should be taking to change a project area name?

Thanks,
...Jim

I've done some more testing and (so far) it looks like I don't have any problems renaming any project areas other than the "Quality Manager" project. for now, I guess I'll assume that the Quality Manager project is reserved for a special purpose and we aren't supposed to change it.

I'll leave it to development to confirm, but I think you hit the nail on the head -- QM project is reserved and should not be renamed.

I won't dive into the technical details, but I have seen a LOT of issues when RQM servers when the default project area is renamed. It sounds like RQM dev has blocked this in more recent releases.

My recommendation is to not even use the default project for production work. Just go straight to "real" project names.
