How does "Generate Build Notes" on queries work?

 When I click on this, I don't see anything happening. How can one use this feature.

There is no documents on how to use "Generate Build Notes".
When you open a workitem, then go to Eclipse' Edit > Add Build Notes, then add the build notes there manually.
Then if you "Generate Build Notes" against any query which contain the above work item, then the newly added build notes will be included in the generated html now. For those query does not contain the above work item, a generic html with the query title only will be generated.

This is what I found in my local test.
If anyone has more usage info, it would be appreciated.
