Using "specifies/specified by" to trace requirements

Our company uses the "Specifies/Specified By" functionality to trace requirements between our requirements artifacts and design elements. If I right click on a requirements artifact and choose "Specified By", I can then select the design element that satisfies the requirement, and I will see a link to this design element in the "Specified by" column when viewing the requirements module. However when I open the design module, I do not see a link to the requirement that the design element specifies.
