Automatic locking of files?

Folks

I have a client that wants to prevent the editing of files if someone is already editing the file.

I know you can manually lock a file but is there a way to automate the locking of files once a file is edited?

The client is interested in this because they want to minimize/prevent the possibility of merges occurring.

Thanks

Andy

The "Pessimistic Locking" feature was delivered in RTC 5.0.2 (in Enhancement 89703).
