RTC JTS 6.0.2 failes to connect with JFS5.0.2,6.0.2 based application

surya mani (11) | asked Mar 07 '17, 6:45 a.m.

Hello!
I had RTC v5.0.2 installed which communicate with JFS application v5.0.2 downloaded as jfs-sdk from https://jazz.net/downloads/jazz-foundation/releases/5.0.2. The war file is jfs-sdk/osgi/tools/renameme.war. Basically we are utilizing JFS storage service for our application attachment files handling.

Now I have migrated RTC v5.0.2 to v6.0.2 however current JFS application v5.0.2 fails to connect with message

JTS version check] ERROR ompatibility.internal.JtsConfigurationStateService  - CRJAZ2054E Jazz Team Server version "6.0.2" is not compatible with the version of this application. The Jazz Team Server version must be in the [4.0.0,5.1.0) range.

The JFS attachment application named as Satellite product details are following:
- CRJAZ2076I Product Details:
  Attachment Satellite, Version 4.0.0.0 (X20170307-0816)
Jazz Foundation - Core Libraries, Version 5.0.2 (RJF-I20141028-1603)

If I upgrade Satellite application with JFS v6.0.2 release and then still the product details remain almost similar:

Jazz Foundation Product Details:
CRJAZ2076I Product Details:
Jazz Foundation - Core Libraries, Version 5.0.2 (RJF-I20141028-1603)
  Attachment Satellite, Version 4.0.0.0 (X20170306-2354)

The upgraded RTC JTS and CCM product details are following:
JTS

Jazz Foundation - Core Libraries, Version 6.0.2 (RJF-SERVER-I20160322-2253)

CCM

CRJAZ2076I Product Details:
Jazz Foundation - Core Libraries, Version 6.0.2 (RJF-SERVER-I20160322-2253)
Change and Configuration Management - Core Libraries, Version 6.0.2 (RTC-SERVER-I20160323-2215)

Please suggest if I am doing something wrong here and how can I get these applications migrated . Please do let me know if you need additional input. Thanks a lot.

Regards,
Surya

I came across this reading Getting started with Jazz Foundation development ,https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/AppSdk, while browsing through JazzFoundation Wiki pages, https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/JazzFoundationHome

Starting with the Jazz Foundation 4.0 release, the preferred SDK for developing Jazz-based applications is the Jazz Application Frameworks (JAF) SDK......All new applications should be based on the JAF SDK, and current applications based on the Application SDK should plan to migrate to the JAF SDK at some point.

What does it mean for applications based on version 4.0.0.0 as in my case our Satellite application uses JFS 4.0.0.0 ? Do these sort of applications need to be migrated to JAF SDK as suggested or won't be able to communicate with latest RTC CCM v6.0.2 and above?
