Dojo script for converting time stamp into numeric values (decimal)

Is there any dojo script for RTC work item to convert time stamp value into numeric e.g. planned end date 4/4/2016 12:00 PM and actual end date 4/19/2016 12:00PM.

Want to calculate and show the exact number of hours in another filed, like actual end date hours – planned end date hours.

Suggest me on this.

You can use either JavaScript Date, or dojo/date/stamp.
