RTC advisor build from the commandline (Tycho?)

Has anybody done continuous build with their advisor development?

I was googling "build eclipse plugin from command line" and came across Tycho, which seems to be the thing to use.

I plan on trying Tycho soon and was wondering wether anybody already went through the bumps or whether this will be a first.

I will also need to figure out just how much Eclipse I'll have to install on our build servers.
Has anybody done advisor development in an Eclipse env that started with the regular Eclipse distro where RTC plugins were added or is everybody following the ExtPoT that uses the RTC client?
