server side script causing work item notification emails not being sent

Miguel Tomico (5001323) | asked Oct 13 '15, 7:44 a.m.
Weird issue this one.
We have a server-side script that, among other actions, it creates, modifies and links work items.
It seems to work beautifully but,
once it is triggered,
- emails are not sent for those modifications made by the script, and
- any later modifications or mentions made to those work items won't be sent by email either.
There are no errors in Firebug nor in the ccm logs.

Before contacting Support or stripping out the script to identify what's the specific action that's causing this,
I was wondering if someone has experienced something similar before.

Tried with v4.0.3 and v5.0.2 with same results.

We figured out what the problem was.
It wasn't in the script itself, but in the Restricted Access property and the way RTC manages email notifications for JazzAdmins.

As a JazzAdmin, the user can read and modify all work items in the repository, but will only get emails if he is a member of the Access Group the work item belongs to, even if he specifically subscribes or gets mentioned.

Therefore,
user added to the Access Group and problem fixed.
