Unable to connect to RQM via the Excel Exporter

Maria Amalan (784366) | asked Oct 05 '15, 8:09 a.m.
The person is able to connect to the RQM server directly through the browser using her credentials. But when she is exporting test cases from excel to RQM and she gives her credentials to validate, it says credentials are invalid and she is unable to login. Why does this happen? Since she is able to connect via browser and she has all the required privileges.

Hi Maria,

In addition to Sunil's information, another place to check would be the following log file:

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mso2Rqm\Mso2Rqm_Debug.log

The log file could provide additional information as to why the login is failing.

Thank you,

Ted

Hi Maria, here are few things to check:-
1. user is able to create the test case on the project area intended using the web browser?
Perhaps, the login success does not clearly entail the user to create artifacts in the application since most such actions (create, modify, save) are role/ permission based.

2. Is the issue (login failure on excel) specific to a user id? Do you see it with multiple users?

3. Is excel running the RQM excel importer addin of the same version as the RQM server.
You will see the excel importer version on UI's right-bottom corner.

Best Regards
Sunil
