Creating Task work item type when saving the story work item type
I am creating a story and task independently. No issues. I would like to create a task on saving the story with same story summary. Please help.

there is no mechanism builtin to do what you want.
you will have to write an extension. you 'might' be able to do this with Javascript, but I am not sure. I know you can do it with a Participant extension Mahesh Vasamsetti selected this answer as the correct answer
Comments No, JavaScript will definitely not work. It has to be a follow up action/participant.
yes, I always forget about templates.. even tho I set some up for others before..
