Is it possible to specify different Work Item workflows?

If we have multiple Development Lines (ex. New Development and Maintenance), is it possible to define separate Work Item workflows for each Line?

When I look at my Project Area for Beta 1 it seems to be for the Project Area as a whole and not individual Lines.
