I have just installed RTC 4.0.3 and then BIRT from http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios but the @Report Design@ perspective is not listed. What might I have done wrong?

Here is the installation details:

1. In your RTC v4.x Eclipse client,  Click the Menu "Help" and "Install New Software"

2. In the "Install" wizard, "Add" this new site:

3. Check these required components and hit "Next" to go through the installation
  • WTP: Web, XML, and Java EE Development > Eclipse Web Developer Tools
  • EMF: Modeling > EMF - Eclipse Modeling Framework SDK
  • DTP: Database Development > Data Tools Platform > Install all of the Data Tools Packages.
  • BIRT: Business Intelligence, Reporting and Charting > Birt Framework
Let me know if it works. Thanks.

I made the mistake of installing the RTC Client for Eclipse 4.2.x IDE. Once I installed RTC Client for Eclipse 3.6.x IDE, the standard installation procedure worked. Hopefully, there is an equivalent to helios for Eclipse 4.2.x

you need to download birt 2.6.2: http://archive.eclipse.org/birt/downloads/build.php?build=R-R1-2_6_2-201102191842
and after you need install RTC plugin (Able in all downloads section p2 file) inside your BIRT environment (eclipse) .
