Choosing a team area for a Workitem

Bhadri Madapusi (181271) | asked Aug 24 '07, 10:46 a.m.
Hi,

I want to create a work item and associate it to a particular team area. When I create a work item, it is always created under default none project. I played around with the UI to change the team area but failed to find any action related to this.

Did I miss something? Or Is this a customization? Or Is this a bug/enhancement?

Thanks in advance.

Well my mistake. I guess when I select the category tool automatically selects the team area.

There are in fact two conditions that influence the Team Area: the
Category and the Planned For property. A Category may have several Team
Areas associated, one per development line. By specifying the Planned
For, it becomes clear what development line is used and thus which Team
Area this workitem belongs to.

Thanks for the reply. I encountered the second scenario yesterday and managed to figure that out with the help of the work item document.
