Process Deployment and more

Hi All,

I downloaded, installed and configured the Team Concert (TC) in one of our servers. And so, I was able to access the TC through the web console, from my workstation. My second step was setup the TC LDAP to work integrated with our LDAP directory. After this I was able to log in by using my intranet credentials. However, during the third step, which would be my first project creation, I'm facing an issue when I try to deploy a process (It seems I need to assign a process to the project, in order to create it). So my first question is:

1. How to deploy a process into the Team Concert? It seems no possible to create a Project Area with no associated Process Template, but whenever we try to "deploy" a process, the error message below is raised:

Error deploying predefined process templates to the repository. Please check your server log for more details.

: The "com.ibm.team.rtc.default" client access license policy does not allow the "com.ibm.team.process.server.saveProcessTemplate" operation.

My second question is related to the TC Eclipse Client:
2. What operations are possible to execute only by Eclipse Client (EC)? Would be possible to install the EC in my workstation and configure it to communicate/operate with the Jazz Server running on the remote server?

I will keep looking by the answers through the TC forums. However, your help will be really appreciated.

Thanks and regards

Hi, Carlos.

In order to deploy the process templates or create a project area you
will need to assign yourself a Developer client access license (CAL).
You can do this in the user editor for yourself.

Hi Jared,

I already added all kinds of licenses allowed by the Team Concert web console:

Rational Team Concert - Contributor (242 available)
Rational Team Concert - Developer (247 available)
Rational Team Concert - Build System (49 available)
Rational Team Concert - ClearCase Connector (249 available)
Rational Team Concert - ClearQuest Connector (0 available)

Is there another license to be added? If yes, could you point me how to do it?

Thanks and regards

The "Rational Team Concert - Developer" that you assigned should be
sufficient. If you're still being told that you don't have the required
license to create a process template after assigning this license,
something is wrong.

If possible, I would suggest installing the RTC Eclipse client on your
machine and trying to deploy the process templates from there. If it
still fails, please file a workitem against the Repository component. If
you open the Error Log view in Eclipse after getting this error, you
should see a stack trace that you can include in the workitem.
