IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody - Model Manager Release Notes

This release of Rhapsody Model Manager contains new features, quality improvements, and updates to supported platforms, as described in the system requirements.

New licensing for combined EWM and RMM server

A new RMM license called "IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody - Model Manager - Systems and Software Engineer" is used now in place of the "Design Manager" license. The RMM "Systems and Software Engineer" license is required when delivering change sets that include Rhapsody files (in addition to the ordinary "IBM Engineering Workflow Management - Developer" license). For viewing Architecture Management content in the RMM web client, you only need the RMM "Systems and Software Engineer" license (no need for the "EWM - Developer" license). The new "IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody - Model Manager - Systems and Software Engineer" license is included in the 7.0 "Trial keys for IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management products".

Known problems and workarounds

Design Management license files from 6.0.5 or earlier

If you will be migrating models from Design Manager to RMM, and you have existing Design Management license files from 6.0.5 or earlier, you must obtain updated licenses from the IBM Rational License Key Center to replace your current licenses. For details, see the Upgrading tab.
