Workaround Summary

When running the Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence Setup wizard, the Build and Deploy Reporting Components step failed, displaying the error: CRRRA2070E.

This affects environments that use an Oracle database as a content store for Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence.

Problem

When running the Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence Setup, if you have specified an Oracle database as the content store, the service name and SID for the database should be the same. If the service name and SID are different for the database, the “Configure Content Store” step may still complete successfully. However, the Deploy (or Build) operation in a subsequent step, “Build and Deploy Reporting Components”, may fail with the following error:

com.ibm.rational.rrdi.setup.biserver.common.RRDIBIServerException: CRRRA2070E: Cannot execute Cognos configuration script.

Workaround

The service name and SID for the Oracle database for the content store need to be the same. If they are different, the user should recreate the database and ensure it uses the same string for both the service name and SID.
