Integrating IBM Rational Build Forge with IBM Rational ClearCase and IBM Rational ClearQuest

IBM Rational Build Forge can be integrated with IBM Rational ClearCase source code management and IBM Rational ClearQuest defect record management. The following types of integration are discussed:

  • Command-line integrations
  • Adaptor integration with Rational ClearCase
  • Adaptor integration with Rational ClearQuest
  • Project execution control

This paper provides detail on how to set up and configure the products to work together. It also lists the adaptor template samples available and identifies the environment variables that need to be added to a project environment before running the adaptor. The document does not discuss the details of the adaptor XML; see the online help for those details. Also, the document covers only the adaptor template samples for Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest. For information about other adaptors, see the descriptions in the adaptors.
