Problem Summary
Mozilla Firefox ESR 31 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 report an invalid certificate while running the Rational Report Server setup wizard.
Problem
While running the Rational Report Server setup wizard with Firefox ESR version 31 or Internet Explorer version 11, you might see an error that indicates that the certificate in use is invalid.
Workaround
You can resolve the problem by creating a new self-signed certificate for the Tomcat-based server that is hosting the Rational Report Server setup wizard.
Complete the following steps:
- Stop the server that is hosting the Rational Report Server setup wizard if it is running.
- From the [InstallDir]/setup/tools/JazzTeamServer/server/jre/bin folder, start the ikeyman application.
- Click the Key Database File > Open.
- Browse to [InstallDir]/setup/tools/JazzTeamServer/server/tomcat and open the file that is named ibm-team-ssl.keystore; then, click OK.
- In the Password Prompt window, enter ibm-team, which is the default password; then, click OK.
- Delete the existing ibm-team certificate.
- Click New Self-Signed.
- Complete the required fields in the form. For the Key Label and Common Name fields, specify the fully qualified machine name that runs the Rational Report Server setup wizard.
- Click OK. A self-signed certificate for the Rational Report Server setup wizard is created, which users can now install into the certificate store of their browsers.
- Close the ikeyman application.
- Start the server that is hosting the Rational Report Server setup wizard and run the setup wizard in the web browser.
