Workaround: Internet Explorer automatically generates mailTo hyperlinks that might fail the RM XHTML server validation process

Summary

Internet Explorer automatically generates mailTo hyperlinks that might fail the RM XHTML server validation process.

More Information

When you edit rich text in Internet Explorer version 8 or 9, if you type a string that includes the At sign (@), the browser might automatically turn the string into a mailTo: hyperlink. Later, if you try to save the artifact, the server XHTML validation might fail because of the hyperlink. If the validation fails, the artifact is not saved and this message is displayed:

The artifact cannot be saved.
ID CRRRW7346E The artifact content is not valid RM XHTML.
cvc-attribute.3: The value 'mailto:test@one%two' of attribute 'href' on element 'a' is not valid with respect to its type, 'URI'.

Workaround

Place the cursor in the automatically created hyperlink, right-click, and select Remove Link.
