Summary

When you create artifacts in a new project or open a new project, these errors occur: “CRRRS8664E Unable to determine AttributeType” and “Error when retrieving range type for attribute definition”.

More Information

When you create a project, the project type system might not be created properly. If this issue occurs, you might see one of these error messages:

1. Error when retrieving range type for attribute definition.
   You might see this message in the web client when you open a new project.
2. CRRRS8664E Unable to determine AttributeType.
   You might see this message when you create artifacts in a new project.

Workaround

Rename and archive the affected project, and then re-create the project.
