IBM® WebSphere® Message Broker Toolkit 7.0.0.5 -- RTC integration ?

According to the documentation, we should be able to integrate RTC client 4.0.0.1 with WMBT : http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v7r0m0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.etools.mft.doc%2Fbk52330_.htm

We're unable to install RTC and WMBT in the same package in Installation Manager:

This is on a regular laptop, which should be perfectly fine.

Any ideas ?

Hi Kenneth,  In my experience I have been unable to install any version of the RTC above 2.0.0.x client into the same package group as WMB Toolkit 7.0.0.5.  The link you posted also confirms that you have to install RTC 2.0.0.2 for compatibility.

Apparently, the solution is to downgrade the RTC client from 4.0.0.1 to 3.0.1.2

RTC client v3.0 support connection to the RTC 4.0.0.1 server.
So they can setup WMBT v8.0 with RTC client v3.0.1.2 to work with the RTC 4.0 server.

Ken,
This is very clever.   I would be interested in hearing how this works out when you get it setup.   It is a good example of why N-1 compatibility was introduced.

Can we use a MB client v8.0 against a v7.* server ?. I would assume this, given the N-1 compatibility, or ?
