IBM® WebSphere® Message Broker Toolkit 7.0.0.5 -- RTC integration ?
According to the documentation, we should be able to integrate RTC client 4.0.0.1 with WMBT : http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v7r0m0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.etools.mft.doc%2Fbk52330_.htm
We're unable to install RTC and WMBT in the same package in Installation Manager: I installationskontekst "com.ibm.sdp.eclipse.ide": Software being installed: SE.1.com.ibm.assembly.dsint.main 3.1.1.20120409_0307 Software being installed: SE.1.com.ibm.assembly.wmbt.main 7.0.0.20120919_1610 Only one of the following can be installed at once: SE.1.org.eclipse.wst.xml_core.feature.feature 3.0.5.v200903310029-7A7NEH6E7QYGHRHvLuKlbZ------- SE.1.org.eclipse.wst.xml_core.feature.feature 3.2.5.v201106160200-7C7OFXjF7RZHQLK0O4N5YW Cannot satisfy dependency: From: SE.1.com.ibm.assembly.dsint.main 3.1.1.20120409_0307 To: SE.1.com.ibm.datatools.dsoe.feature [1.0.0,2.0.0) Cannot satisfy dependency: From: SE.1.com.ibm.assembly.wmbt.main 7.0.0.20120919_1610 To: SE.1.com.ibm.wps.coresrvr.btools.feature.feature [7.0.200,8.0.0) Cannot satisfy dependency: From: SE.1.com.ibm.datatools.dsoe.feature 1.0.0.v20120409_0653 To: SE.1.org.eclipse.wst.xml_core.feature.feature [3.2.0,4.0.0) Cannot satisfy dependency: From: SE.1.com.ibm.wps.coresrvr.btools.feature.feature 7.0.200.200912182200 To: SE.1.org.eclipse.jst.web_core.feature.feature [3.0.5,3.1.0) Cannot satisfy dependency: From: SE.1.org.eclipse.jst.web_core.feature.feature 3.0.5.v200904242131-7Q7AEfJEHhHehPlW6SaE4u--------- To: SE.1.org.eclipse.wst.xml_core.feature.feature [3.0.5,3.1.0) --- This is on a regular laptop, which should be perfectly fine. Hi Kenneth, In my experience I have been unable to install any version of the RTC above 2.0.0.x client into the same package group as WMB Toolkit 7.0.0.5. The link you posted also confirms that you have to install RTC 2.0.0.2 for compatibility.

Can we use a MB client v8.0 against a v7.* server ?. I would assume this, given the N-1 compatibility, or ?
