Hi All,
We have Shared project area as master with all configuration role definition with permitted actions.
Consumer PA will have users and process roles defined for each user. This set up is present in RTC 3.0.1
Planning to upgrate to RTC 4.0 Server

 Will this work?
As rule definition(Permitted actions) in master PA and for each user process rules are mentioned in consumer PA.
As I gone through this below link got confused and didn't understand what its saying.

 Thanks,
Kavita

Thanks,

We don't support role assignment inheritance in 4.0. That is to say, if you want to assign a role to a member, you have to do this in the child project areas. Any role assignment changes in master project area will never affect the child project areas.

If you migrate from 3.0.1 to 4.0, the role assignments in master project area will be copied to each child project area during migration automatically. That is to say, after migration, the child project areas will have the same role assignments with master project area, but not inherited from the master project area.

BTW, please backup your db before migration. :)
