Preventing emails caused by work item comments from a Build User
All,
We have an external build system that runs builds and deployments. Upon successful deployment, it goes into work items that were part of a promotion and updates them with comments saying that the were part of a deployment.
The issue is that we have lots of work items that get commented on with major promotions, and this results in a ton of spam.
Is there any way to prevent the email service from sending out emails when an update is done by a particular user, such as a build system? The existing mail configuration options don't seem to allow that.
Thanks,
Vivek

Unfortunately, no. There are various ways of configuring when e-mail is received, but it cannot be configured based on the user that made the change.
I suggest filing an enhancement against RTC / Work Items for this, explaining your situation and why it is important for you.

Thanks David. I just created Enhancement 235664 to address this.
