Clustering support in CLM 4.0 version
What are the clustering support options available in the new CLM 4.0? Do we support VERITAS Cluster Server?

Right now only WebSphere is a supported clustering solution for CLM 2012.
For a full list of the platforms and technologies that CLM 2012 will support, check out the Jazz.net wiki at https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/CLMWorkbenchSystemRequirements. |

Hello,
Would you know if I can use the IBM Edge Component (or similar product) to handle the load balancing above the Reverse Proxy Servers (IBM HTTPS)? The scenario is to have two or more Reverse Proxy Servers and use the load balancer above them to handle the HTTP(S) requests from clients. This is a supported scenario for WAS app servers but I am not sure if CLM supports this as well. Thanks and Regards Frank Ning |
As of now, we have not tested that particular configuration. Our clustering solution is only meant to address HA configurations right now, so I don't think that this would be a supported configuration.
Strange thing, when I went to my bookmarks and brought up the https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/CLMWorkbenchSystemRequirements page, it came up fine. When I hit the link in this forum, it bombed. Try cutting and pasting the address if it still doesn't work for you. You can also check out https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/ClusteringGuidelines for some guidance on clustering, and the steps that we are using with the beta in https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/DeployingJazzInCluster. |
Link https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/CLMWorkbenchSystemRequirements is deprecated for a while now.
System requirements for CLM 2012 are covered in the following article since June 12th (GA) : https://jazz.net/library/article/811 For clustering, I'd advise you check the following article: https://jazz.net/library/article/823 Regards, Stéphane |
re: IBM Edge Component question above
Actually, yes, the goal is that CLM can be deployed in a WAS HA deployment topology. So when redundant reverse proxies are involved, a load balancer such as Edge shall be involved. Section 1.5 in https://jazz.net/library/article/823 is showing it. |
