Can we change the process template after the project area is
created?
Someone created a new project area with a wrong process template. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks Jirong |

The process template is just used to initialize the process
configuration information in your project area, so is no longer relevant once you the project area is created. But one thing you can do is to create a "master" project area that has been initialized with the desired process template, and then modify your existing project area to "share" the process configuration of your master project area. But note that you also have to null out the process guidance section of your project area (or else that will override the shared process guidance). To see what it should look like when you are done, just look at the Process Configuration Source of the built-in "Unconfigured Process" template. Just paste that into the Process Configuration Source of your project area. Note: If you have instantiated any work items using fields or work item types that are not in the new process configuration, you will have to go in and fix those by hand (using the work item editor, or a script if you want to write one). I interpret it as there is no way to fix this unless I manually re-config the process. So now is there a way I can completely delete this project area? Nothing useful has been loaded in this new project area.

You cannot delete a project area ... but you can hide it by making it
readable only be project members, and then remove all project members. Cheers, Geoff On 2/7/2012 4:38 PM, hujirong wrote: I interpret it as there is no way to fix this unless I manually |
